Dr. Pedro Machado
Biography
I identify professionally as a general practitioner dentist, with a practice more focused on periodontology. Passionate about oral health and the well-being of his patients, I place listening, precision, prevention and trust at the heart of my practice.
I grew up in Vizela, a charming town in the north of Portugal, known for its peaceful atmosphere, green nature and especially its famous thermal baths, which have been loved since Roman times. Crossed by the Vizela River, the city offers beautiful walking spaces, carefully landscaped gardens and a perfect setting to relax.
My degree in dentistry was obtained in 2013 in the Porto area. It had been a goal for a long time to emigrate to Switzerland, in order to: join part of my family; to evolve personally and professionally; to express my passion and to receive the know-how at the highest level of quality and prevention, which are the identity of the medical care provided in Switzerland. I have lived in Lausanne since the beginning of 2014.
In the course of 2016, I fell in love with the Gruyère region. So, my family decided to move to the canton of Fribourg. You could say that from my balcony, I like to see the Moléson. In addition, I love the gastronomy, the flavors of chocolate and cheese and the air of the countryside while being close to the urban context. Aspects that remind me of Vizela.
Over the years, I have done many training courses in Switzerland, Portugal, Germany, Brazil and France, with the aim of increasing my skills with patients, their oral health and their general health.
My goal is to prevent the little mouse from passing a second time!
I am part of an internal pool of a Swiss NGO, Mercy Ships, as well as a folklore group, Tuna Helvética. In my spare time I love gastronomy, music, cycling, motorbikes and water activities.
At Oral Studio, I welcome patients with kindness and I do everything I can to make each visit as pleasant as possible. My philosophy: to combine professionalism, gentleness and a human approach to accompany each smile.
