Dr. Luís Tavares

My name is Luis Tavares, I was born in Guarda, Portugal, in 1988.
I obtained my Integrated Master’s Degree in Dentistry in Porto, at the IUCS, where I studied between 2009 and 2014.

In 2015, I moved to Switzerland — a huge professional and personal challenge, far from home, motivated by the high standards of Swiss dentistry and the desire to become a leading dentist.

My academic career is marked by rigorous, annual and sometimes even monthly continuing education, combining long-term advanced training and one-day technical improvements.
Among the most significant, in 2019, I followed a postgraduate training in Advanced Oral Biomimetic Rehabilitation in Portugal, which reinforced my favorite field: smile creation and dental aesthetics.
I have also completed numerous training courses in oral surgery, complex rehabilitation, implantology, dental photography and endodontics.

Coming from a large family, married and father of a son, my family is my strength and my point of balance. As a sports and automotive history enthusiast, my ideal day would start treating my patients in the morning, before getting behind the wheel to admire the roads of the Alpine passes in the afternoon.

Since December 2020, the opening of OralStudio in Cottens represents the fulfillment of a shared vision between Joana and me:
practice excellent dentistry, focused on listening to and respecting the patient.
